About EasyFaviconGenerator

EasyFaviconGenerator is a free online favicon generator and checker that respects your privacy. Its goal is simple: give every website a perfect favicon — ICO, PNG, SVG, Apple Touch and Android icons — whatever the browser, device or platform, without needing to be a favicon expert.

Why it exists

A favicon used to be a single favicon.ico file. Today a complete setup involves an SVG for modern desktop browsers, a PNG for Google result pages, an Apple Touch icon for iOS, a web app manifest with two PNG sizes for Android, and a few HTML tags to wire all of this. Getting it wrong is easy and testing it on every device is not.

EasyFaviconGenerator removes the guesswork: you provide a picture, you see exactly how it will look on each platform, and you get the files plus the HTML code, ready to paste.

Principles

  • Private by design. Your pictures are processed in your browser with the Canvas API and never uploaded. The only features that contact our server are the ones that need to: the favicon checker and the "load a picture from a URL" helper.
  • Up to date. The generator follows current best practices (SVG + PNG + ICO + Apple Touch icon + web manifest) and lets you add legacy files only if you really need them.
  • No lock-in, no sign-up. Everything is free. The generated files are plain standard files you own.
  • Open standards. No proprietary format, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts needed to make the tools work.
