Social generator (discontinued)

The social generator has been discontinued. Social networks changed their image requirements too often, and most of them now read the same standard tags.

What to do instead

For link previews you only need the Open Graph and Twitter Card tags, which every major network understands:

<meta property="og:title" content="Page title" />
<meta property="og:description" content="Short description" />
<meta property="og:image" content="https://example.com/social-1200x630.png" />
<meta property="og:url" content="https://example.com/page" />
<meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image" />
  • Use a 1200x630 image for og:image (JPEG or PNG, under 5 MB).
  • Keep important content in the central area: platforms crop differently.
  • Test the result in the debugger of each network after publishing.
