This page explains which data EasyFaviconGenerator handles and why. The short version: your pictures stay in your browser, and we do not track you.
Your pictures
The favicon generator and the logo maker run entirely in your browser. The picture you choose, the settings you set and the files that are generated are never sent to our servers. To carry your work from the editor to the "your favicon is ready" page, the editor stores it temporarily in your browser (IndexedDB). That data stays on your device and you can erase it at any time by clearing your site data.
When you ask to load a picture from a URL, our server downloads that picture on your behalf (browsers cannot always do it themselves) and returns it to you. It is not stored.
The favicon checker
When you use the favicon checker, the address you enter is sent to our server, which fetches the corresponding page and its icons. Requests are made from our server, so the checked website sees our server's IP address and user agent, not yours. We do not keep the result. For abuse prevention, a counter of requests per IP address (hashed) is kept for a minute.
Forms
If you write to us through the contact form, the compatibility test form or the newsletter form, we store what you submit (message, email address if you provide one, browser information you choose to send) in order to answer you or to subscribe you. We do not sell or share this data. Ask us at any time to delete it.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. The site stores one preference in your browser's local storage (light or dark mode). The editor uses IndexedDB as described above.
Server logs
Like any web server, ours may keep standard access logs (IP address, date, requested URL, user agent) for security and troubleshooting purposes. They are rotated regularly.
Third parties
The tools do not load third-party scripts, fonts or analytics. Links to other websites are subject to the privacy policies of those sites.
Your rights
You can ask us what data we hold about you, and request its correction or deletion, through the contact page.
